Victor Hedman was forced to cancel Tampa's away game against Montreal in the NHL. He returned to the team this weekend after being injured for a month, but in tonight's game he hurt himself again.
Hedman was taken off the field after just one period, after which the club announced that he was injured and would not play again.
"It's a pretty worrying injury. He will be examined more thoroughly tomorrow, we're keeping our fingers crossed," says coach Jon Cooper according to Aftonbladet .
Victor Hedman has been selected for Tre Kronor's Olympic squad and two months remain until the start of the Olympics in Milan.
