For Viaplay, the World Championship summer 2023 was a viewer success on TV6, with a maximum of 1,670,000 viewers.

"The 2023 Football World Championship was a major success, both on the pitch and for Viaplay. We hope for a new magical summer for the team and the Swedish people", says Erik Westberg.

At the European Championship in Switzerland from 2-27 July, Sweden will start in group C together with Denmark, Poland, and Germany.

Sweden's premiere match against Denmark on 4 July will be broadcast on SVT. Sweden's two other group stage matches, against Poland and Germany, will be broadcast on Viaplay. If Sweden reaches the quarterfinals, the match will be broadcast on SVT. A potential semifinal or final will be broadcast on Viaplay.

Just a few weeks ago, it became official that SVT will broadcast the Nations League and the World Championship qualifiers for women. Now, Viaplay and SVT are strengthening their cooperation further. In addition to the women's European Championship this summer, SVT, just like TV6, will also broadcast one match per round from the women's Allsvenskan starting in August. All other matches will be broadcast on Viaplay.

"We are proud to be able to continue building Swedish women's football together with SVT and offer our viewers world-class football", says Erik Westberg.
