The American team makes its debut in Formula 1, and has recruited Perez and Bottas as its drivers.

Mexican Sergio Perez left Red Bull after last season, and has previously also competed for McLaren and Racing Point. In total, he has driven 281 grand prix races in F1.

Finn Valtteri Bottas has driven 246 F1 races, in teams such as Mercedes, Alfa Romeo and Williams. He has acted as a reserve driver for Mercedes during the season.

"It's not every day you get the chance to be part of something that's being built from the ground up and get to help shape it into something that really belongs in Formula 1", says Bottas.

In total, the duo has won 16 GP races.

"They've seen it all and know what it takes to succeed in Formula 1. Their leadership, feedback, instincts and their speed will be invaluable as we create this team", says Cadillac's team principal Graeme Lowdon in a statement.
