Max Verstappen took pole position for Sunday's Formula 1 race at the Italian Monza. This may mean that the reigning World Champion can catch up with the competitors in McLaren, who are leading double in this year's World Championship series.
The Red Bull driver is third in the championship, behind Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
Beside Verstappen in Sunday's race, Norris will start. Third in qualifying Piastri will start in the second row together with Charles Leclerc, Ferrari.
Verstappen has won four consecutive World Championship titles.
