"That P3 Guld gives me three nominations for my messiest album ever makes me so indescribably happy," says Veronica Maggio in a press release.
She is nominated for the prestigious artist of the year award along with Viagra Boys, Yung Lean and Zara Larsson, among others. Maggio can also receive an award in the live category Guldmicken and for the song of the year: "Backspegeln" from her latest album "Sciura".
Zara Larsson and new rising star Saga Faye also have a chance at several awards at the gala. Both are nominated in two categories each – Saga Faye in the artist of the future and song of the year for "Who are you?" and Zara Larsson, in addition to artist of the year, also in the song category for "Midnight sun".
Among the nominees are also Håkan Hellström for the album "Svensk rost" and Kent, whose reunion concerts earned them a nomination for the Golden Mic.
The P3 Gold Gala will be held at Cirkus in Stockholm on January 16, with Christopher Garplind as host. It will be broadcast live on P3 and on the Sveriges Radio app, but will not be broadcast on television.
