It was in March 2024 that the 37-year-old man was found dead in a bag in a forest area. He is believed to have been murdered three days earlier.
According to the indictment, he was at the time of his death in an apartment with a woman he had started a relationship with. Also present were the woman's husband, who had found out about the relationship, and her brother-in-law.
The prosecutor is now asking the court of appeal to convict those who were present in the apartment at the time of the murder of murder, alternatively of aiding and abetting murder. All should also be sentenced to longer prison terms and the woman should be deported.
In addition, the prosecutor is asking the court of appeal to consider whether honor was part of the motive.
The 25-year-old woman and the 20-year-old brother-in-law were acquitted of murder by the Nacka district court, but the woman was convicted of aiding and abetting aggravated assault. Both were also convicted of aggravated disturbance of the peace of the grave.
The woman was sentenced to two years and three months in prison and the brother-in-law to one year and eight months.
The woman's 26-year-old brother was also sentenced to one year and six months in prison for aggravated harboring of a criminal, as he had driven the woman, her husband, and their children to Germany after the murder.
The husband is still at large and internationally wanted for his involvement.
