Venus Williams has won seven Grand Slam singles titles, but the 46-year-old is now struggling to keep up with the changes in tennis.
On Tuesday, it was more of the same as Williams suffered her 16th straight loss and was eliminated in the first round. The dismal streak began in July last year. Austrian Lilli Tagger easily beat Williams 6–2, 6–2 at the Guangzhou Open.
Tagger was born in 2008, the same year Venus Williams won Wimbledon and claimed her seventh and final Grand Slam title.
