Liberal Party leader Troels Lund Poulsen has been given 14 days to investigate the possibilities of forming a new government.
The fact that he is already putting forward the proposal for a purely right-wing minority government, with Venstre, the Liberal Alliance and the Conservatives, before the deadline has expired, is called "strange" by the leader of the Moderate party, Løkke.
"I'm a little surprised," he says after a group meeting at Christiansborg.
Troels Lund Poulsen took over the task of exploring government formation from incumbent Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S).
Løkke, who will meet Lund Poulsen on Tuesday evening, hopes for a center-right government that also includes the Moderates.
