Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were abducted by US forces over the weekend. When the Venezuelan parliament met on Monday, it condemned the incident.
"The US President, Mr. Trump, claims to be the world's prosecutor, judge and policeman," said Fernando Soto Rojas, a senior member.
The parliament gave its full support to interim president Delcy Rodríguez, who was sworn in before the parliament. She is a former vice president. One of the members supporting her is Maduro's son, Nicolás Maduro Guerra.
"Count on me, count on my family," he said.
Delcy Rodríguez's brother, Jorge Rodríguez, was re-elected as speaker. He promised to explore all possibilities to bring Maduro back.
Delcy Rodríguez has previously emphasized that the US's actions in Venezuela violate international law. She has subsequently called on Washington to cooperate with Venezuela.
