IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva confirms the disbursement of the funds and says on X that the organization "has collaborated with key partners to help Venezuela access its own resources from the Emergency Humanitarian Needs Fund."
The two earthquakes that struck in June were the strongest to hit the country in over 100 years. More than 5,000 people have been confirmed dead so far after the disaster.
