Venezia FC is back in Italy's top football league. It is clear since the team from Venice won the playoff final against Cremonese.
The first meeting between the teams ended 0–0, and everything would be decided on Venezia's home ground Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on Sunday evening. Then, the team's Danish striker Christian Gytkjaer stepped forward and scored the only goal of the double match in the 24th minute.
After the match, the pitch was stormed by Venezia supporters who celebrated the return to Serie A with players and leaders, writes Fotbollskanalen.
The club last played in the top tier season 2021/2022.
Earlier, Parma and Como are clear for promotion to Serie A, while Frosinone, Sassuolo, and Salernitana are relegated to Serie B.
