Växjö has had a tougher period during the preseason lately.
For example, it was a loss after overtime in the latest home game against English Sheffield in the Champions Hockey League.
But Växjö bounced back quickly and beat Czech champion team Trinec on the road.
The line with homecomer Dennis Rasmussen (1+1), Joachim Blichfeld (1+1), and Filip Eriksson (1+0) scored all three goals.
Finnish newcomer Otto Koivula, from the New York Islanders organization, made his debut for Växjö.
Växjö has won two of its first three CHL matches and will face Norwegian Storhamar on the road on Saturday.
Färjestad took its third straight win when Hungarian Fehérvár was defeated on the road with 3–1.
But it took over 41 minutes before the zero was broken through new Norwegian defense talent Stian Solberg, 18 years old. Marcus Westfält, 2–0, and August Tornberg, 3–1, were the other goal scorers.
Färjestad's Czech goal-scoring king David Tomásek made a comeback after an injury, while team captain Linus Johansson is still missing. However, he is on Färjestad's road trip and is expected to play on Saturday against Tappara, according to Värmlands Folkblad.
The SHL starts next Saturday.
