These are Hesselø in the east, west of the Swedish Kulla Peninsula, and Nordsøen Midt on the west coast, which should be completed by 2032.
Enough green electricity will be produced to cover the consumption of 1.8 million Danish homes. It is still very big news, says Climate and Energy Minister Samira Nawa.
Hesselø in the Kattegat between Sweden and Denmark is being built about 30 kilometres from the Danish coast and will have a capacity of at least 800 megawatts.
The second is located in the North Sea near Hvide Sande and will have a capacity of at least 1,000 megawatts.
And that's just the beginning. There are more offshore wind farms in the pipeline, including an agreement with Germany on the Bornholm Energy Island, says Nawa.
