The region needs more blood of groups A and O, both negative and positive, as well as AB negative.
Since it is the holiday season, fewer people are donating blood. If levels continue to fall, planned surgeries may need to be postponed, according to Anna Wiberg.
In Region Skåne, the situation is worse; there is an acute shortage of blood groups O and A negative, according to the regional blood centres' network Geblod.
In Stockholm Region, more blood is needed within the next few days in blood groups O and AB negative.
