The Regional Director in Västra Götaland, Håkan Sandahl, is leaving his post and employment in the region.
The background is a comprehensive assessment of the paused introduction of the criticized journal system Millennium, writes the region in a press release.
The Acting Regional Director will be Ann-Charlotte Järnström, who is currently the region's financial director.
"There have been many involved in this work and the responsibility does not rest solely with one person, but we see that it will be difficult for Håkan Sandahl to lead and drive VGR's work forward", says the Chairman of the Regional Council, Helén Eliasson (S) in the press release.
Sandahl is relieved of his duties during the six-month notice period and will receive a severance package of twelve months.
