For a week ago, he led Västervik to the club's first Swedish Championship gold in speedway in 20 years. Now it is clear that the team manager Morgan Andersson is forced to leave his assignment.

The news was first revealed by Västerviks-Tidningen on Tuesday.

It's part of the game, said Andersson to the newspaper then.

On Wednesday, the change was then confirmed by the club. Via Instagram, they announce that the parties have agreed to terminate the contract, even though it actually stretched over 2026.

”We are aware that the industry is small and that it is a challenge to find the right replacement in time. Therefore, the board has chosen to act now to ensure a long-term solution for the club”, the club writes in a statement.

Andersson himself thanks for the trust and summarizes his time in the club:

”I am proud of my time in Västervik and want to thank everyone in and around the club for the trust. I understand the club's decision and wish the team success even in the future”.

According to Västerviks-Tidningen, Mikael Teurnberg, three-time Swedish champion with Rospiggarna, is pointed out as a possible name to take over the role as team leader.
