Västerås SK is extremely close to a return to Allsvenskan. It is clear after 2–0 away against top competitor Örgryte.

VSK got a dream start. After just over a quarter of an hour, Max Larsson made a perfect pass from the right, and there the form-strong Mikkel Ladefoged appeared. The Dane headed in his ninth goal of the season and gave the away team an early lead, which lasted until the break.

The second half began evenly, but the chances fell mainly to the home team, who were chasing a equalizer. However, Västerås goalkeeper Anton Fagerström stood in the way with several qualified saves.

Instead, the decision came in the 69th minute. Axel Taonsa got past his defender, drove in from the left and nicely placed 2–0 at the far post.

Örgryte tried to push in the final stages, but VSK withstood and took a giant step towards Allsvenskan.

Västerås tops the Superettan table with 59 points. Kalmar, with one game less played, is close behind with 58 points. Örgryte is third with 55 points.

There are two rounds left of the series.
