It's a nice decision for me to take, to know exactly what I'm going to do, he says to SVT.

Earlier, there has been a storm surrounding the talent's dual commitments. Last winter, he didn't get to go to the Junior World Championship because he didn't show up for the qualifying competitions.

There are many who have wanted to know what I'm going to do and many who want to have an opinion. But I've come to the conclusion that I've found what I think is fun and what I enjoy, he says to SVT.

At the same time, he's not completely closing the door to the Olympic Games 2026.

We're not closing any doors, but it's not a goal either. The goal is to win Vasaloppet or take the yellow jersey or for someone on the team to do it. But it's clear, if we get selected for the Olympic Games, we'll go, but it's not a goal.

The national team squad will be presented on Monday.
