The incident concerns the electoral district of Hallonbergen Mellan. 917 people voted in the regional election, according to preliminary figures. Hundreds of regional election ballots disappeared on election night and were found more than 24 hours later. It turned out that they were missing a cover.
The County Administrative Board has now declared 253 ballots invalid, which corresponds to every fourth vote in the district, Mitti writes. All belong to the Left Party. According to preliminary figures, the party received 29.2 percent of the votes in the district, but is now losing almost all of those votes.
The incident is not considered to have affected the election results.
Early votes were also reported to have been rejected in Burlöv in Skåne - from 141 people. They were to be reviewed again but were forgotten during Wednesday's check count, according to SVT Skåne.
In retrospect, the municipality assesses that 31 parliamentary votes, 33 regional votes and 30 votes for the council should have been approved. There is nothing to suggest that these votes would have changed the election result, according to the county administrative board.
