Speculation took off after concertgoers at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 7 claimed that the person on stage was not Usher but some kind of doppelganger.
"Usher tickets from Temu," wrote one user, posting a clip from the concert showing the alleged doppelganger.
"I've been studying Usher's moves for 20 years. That's not him. Usher's moves are much more fluid than that," wrote another.
Usher responded on the tour's Instagram: "You guys are funny... clone? They can't clone this??" He added: "How do you even come up with this? AI isn't that advanced."
