Sales of used electric cars increased sharply during the first half of the year, according to the website Kvdbil. A total of 16,629 were sold during the period, an increase of 63 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
A total of 22,458 more electric cars were sold compared to the previous year. County-wise, the largest sales increase occurred in Västernorrland and Blekinge, according to the website.
"When counties like Västernorrland and Blekinge show the largest increases, we see that the interest in electric cars is no longer concentrated to major cities. It is connected to the fact that the charging infrastructure has improved and the range has become broader – which means that the market has matured in the whole country", says Daniel Odsberg, sales manager at Kvdbil in a press release.
