Used books are becoming increasingly popular. On Tradera, the sale of literature in May has increased by as much as 31 percent compared to the same period.
"We see a clear book trend ahead of the summer. Many are taking the opportunity to renew their book collection in a way that is both economically and environmentally friendly," says Sofia Hagelin, communications manager at Tradera, in a press release.
The sale of children's and young adult literature has increased by as much as 46 percent, but what people are most interested in are books about home and household, art and crafts, and handicrafts, according to Tradera's own statistics.
Among fiction, fantasy is the most popular, with Robert Jordan's series "The Return of the Dragon" at the top. Vilhelm Moberg's Emigrant Epic and JK Rowling's Harry Potter books are also bestsellers.
