The USA's gross national product (GNP) rose more than expected during the third quarter. According to the third calculation, GNP increased to 3.1 percent in calculated annual rate compared to 2.8 percent in an earlier measurement.
Economists had, according to Bloomberg's compilation, counted on a growth of 2.8 percent.
