USA's president Donald Trump writes on his platform Truth Social that foreign workforce sent to the country via companies are "welcome" and that he does not want to "discourage investments".

Without mentioning any specific employer, the president emphasizes that foreign companies making large investments in the USA should be able to bring their personnel. He also writes that American personnel should learn from foreign expertise in the companies.

"We welcome them, we welcome their employees, and we are willing to proudly say that we will learn from them and become better than them in their areas", writes Trump.

The statement comes just over a week after approximately 475 people, mainly South Korean citizens, were arrested in a raid on a Hyundai factory in the state of Georgia. Trump said in connection with the incident that the arrested were "illegal immigrants".

Shortly after the incident, the majority of the arrested persons were flown to South Korea.
