Producer prices in the USA rose by 0.4 percent in January compared to the previous month, according to the US Department of Labor.
This can be compared to the increase of 0.2 percent in December and an average forecast of 0.3 percent in January, according to Bloomberg's compilation of forecasts.
In annual terms, producer prices rose by 3.5 percent in January, compared to 3.3 percent in December and expected 3.3 percent.
