The USA is expected to announce a new support package to Ukraine worth approximately 1.3 billion dollars – around 13 billion kronor – reports the news agency AP, citing sources.
The planned support package is said to contain a significant amount of ammunition and air defense missiles. According to the news agency, this includes, among other things, the Hawk air defense system, Stinger missiles, and artillery grenades. The weapons package is expected to be made public next week.
The Biden administration is believed to be pushing to quickly send support to Ukraine before Donald Trump's administration takes over on January 20 next year.
