"The USA is providing another significant package of urgently needed weapons and equipment to our Ukrainian partners as they defend themselves against Russia's ongoing attacks," says Foreign Minister Antony Blinken in a statement on Thursday.
The package includes, among other things, artillery ammunition, drones, armored vehicles, and other military equipment to be taken from the USA's military stockpiles.
President Joe Biden's outgoing administration is working to get as much aid to Ukraine as possible before Donald Trump – who has repeatedly criticized the USA's Ukraine support and claimed that he can secure a ceasefire within a few hours of taking office – takes over the White House.
