USA has joined together with Mexico, Costa Rica and Jamaica to get to host the women's World Championship 2031.

USA released the information on Monday.

USA and Mexico withdrew an application to host the World Championship 2027 in order to instead aim for 2031.

Instead, Brazil was awarded the World Championship 2027.

Now, Costa Rica and Jamaica have also been added to the application of USA and Mexico.

Fifa, the International Football Association, said in April that the application of USA and Mexico was the only one for 2031.

Fifa has previously decided to expand the women's World Championship to 48 teams in 2031.
