Airlines operating in Mexico and parts of Central and Latin America should "exercise caution" when flying over certain countries, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration warns.

According to the authority, the call concerns “military activities” and potential disruptions to control systems.

The warning - which comes two weeks after the U.S. captured Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro - is valid until March 17 and covers parts of Mexico, Panama and Ecuador.
