The US administration has contacted the pharmaceutical giant Astra Zeneca about moving its headquarters from London to New York, reports Reuters on its website. This with reference to sources for the news agency.

According to Reuters, Astra Zeneca is now one of several companies that have been contacted because they are part of an operation that is significant in terms of economic and national security for the US. In addition to Astra Zeneca, sector colleague Eli Lilly is also said to have been urged to expand its insulin production. The American Pfizer is in turn said to have been encouraged to, among other things, expand its production of Ibrance, a medicine used to treat breast cancer.

None of the companies have wanted to comment on the information.
