In a letter to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, he refers to widely circulated reports of deficiencies on board, such as a lack of supplies, polluted water, safety deficiencies on deck, and deteriorating mental well-being among the crew.
But according to military officials, the upcoming rotation of aircraft carriers was planned before the reports on conditions on board.
