The trade war between the US and Canada continues. The US's new import ban, which will take effect in three weeks, comes after Canada on Tuesday imposed punitive tariffs on several American goods.
The former good neighbors have been exchanging verbal blows for weeks over the two countries' economies as well as their leaders.
The core of the dispute concerns who should be the main industrial engine, mainly in the automotive sector, but US President Donald Trump has recently also targeted Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier.
In addition to the import ban, the US is expanding the list of goods subject to 50 percent tariffs.
