US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said at a White House press conference that the country has begun to pressure Iran economically.

Since Iran attacked countries in the Middle East, those countries have begun to cooperate with the United States and share information about Iranian assets, according to Bessent. The United States has now requested that the countries freeze the Revolutionary Guard's assets in their respective countries.

In addition, he said new warnings about sanctions are coming for countries that buy Iranian oil.

He called it Operation Economic Fury, an allusion to Operation Epic Fury, the American code name for the initial operation against Iran that began on February 28.
