US forces have shot down two Iranian drones, the US regional military command CENTCOM said on X.
The drones "threatened international maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz," CENTCOM said in the post.
The incident occurred, according to CENTCOM, "earlier today." On Saturday night, the United States said it had shot down a drone heading toward the Strait of Hormuz and attacked Iranian radar facilities. The Iranian military responded with missile attacks on American bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.
