Abbas Araghchi tells the U.S. network CBS that the country's negotiators are "working on the elements of an agreement and draft text of the agreement."

I believe there is a good chance of a diplomatic solution based on a win-win situation.

I believe that when we meet, probably on Thursday in Geneva, we can look at the details and quickly reach an agreement.

Oman's foreign minister, Badr Albusaidi, confirms in a post on social media that a meeting will be held on Thursday.

Araghchi said on Friday that Iran could have a draft nuclear energy agreement ready "within two to three days."

On CBS's "Face the Nation," he adds that Iran, as a sovereign country, has the right to decide for itself whether it wants to enrich uranium.

We have every right to defend ourselves if the U.S. attacks, says Araghchi, mentioning attacks on U.S. bases in the region as possible retaliation.

U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff claimed on Sunday that Iran could have the capacity to produce a nuclear weapon in about a week.
