US private sector adds 98,000 jobs in June, below forecasts

Employment in the US private sector increased by 98,000 jobs in June, according to figures from payroll administrator ADP.

Analysts had expected an average of 120,000 new jobs in June, according to a compilation of forecasts by Bloomberg.

In May, 122,000 new jobs were created in the sector.
