US plans $24.3 billion F-35 fighter jet sale to Saudi Arabia

The United States is planning to sell F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. The deal could be worth $24.3 billion, equivalent to around SEK 238 billion.

Last November, US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman signed several cooperation agreements. One of them included the purchase of an unspecified number of F-35s, the super-advanced fighter jet from Lockheed Martin.

Now the US State Department has notified Congress that it plans to sell up to 48 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia.
