Last November, US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman signed several cooperation agreements. One of them included the purchase of an unspecified number of F-35s, the super-advanced fighter jet from Lockheed Martin.
Now the US State Department has notified Congress that it plans to sell up to 48 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia.
