The US Open's main arena, Arthur Ashe Stadium, is to undergo renovations for over 7.7 billion kronor, announced Brian Vahaly, head of the American tennis association USTA, on Monday.
This is an incredibly thrilling moment for our sport and for the US Open, said Vahaly.
The preparatory work on the renovation of the arena, which currently has a capacity of 24,000 people, has already begun and is expected to be fully completed by 2027.
