“We don't want them. Not a single one.” US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem wants to see a travel ban from an unknown number and as yet unnamed countries that she claims are parasitizing the US.

Noem uses very harsh words when, after a meeting with President Donald Trump, she presents her ideas on Platform X :

"I recommend a total ban on all the fucking countries that flood our country with murderers, exploiters and welfare cheats."

However, Noem does not write which countries she has in mind for the entry ban and continues:

“Our forefathers built this nation with blood, sweat, and an unrelenting love of freedom—not for foreign invaders to slaughter our heroes, drain our hard-earned tax dollars, or take away the benefits that belong to Americans. We don’t want them.”

The move, which is being reported by Axios , among others, comes a few days after two National Guardsmen were shot in Washington, DC, one of them fatally. The shooter was an Afghan man who had been granted asylum in the United States. After the attack, Trump announced that he wants to reconsider decisions regarding "every single foreign national who has entered our country from Afghanistan" and that all immigration cases involving Afghan citizens will be put on hold. Already issued permanent visas from 19 countries that "raise concerns" will also be reviewed, according to the report.

During Trump's first term, he imposed a highly controversial travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries. The decision faced fierce political opposition and was challenged in court until the Supreme Court dismissed the lawsuits and the decision became final.
