The US military has blown up a boat in the eastern Pacific Ocean, which it says was being used as a floating refueling station for drug smugglers.
Before the boat was blown up, several people were taken into custody.
“Individuals removed from the boat have been handed over to Ecuadorian authorities,” the military command Southcom wrote in a statement on X.
