A report the CIA has handed over to the US government says it could take at least three to four months before Iran's regime experiences more serious economic problems, according to The Washington Post.
President Donald Trump describes the blockade against Iran as a major success that gives the US a clear advantage in negotiations.
Trump has also claimed that Iran's weapons have been largely destroyed. However, the report says the country still has three-quarters of its mobile launchers and retains nearly as much of its missile arsenal. These are the weapons that threaten shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
