For almost two weeks, the US has carried out airstrikes against targets mainly in southern Iran. Every night, Centcom has announced when the wave of attacks started and - a few hours later - when it ended.
Last night, the attacks were over after just over an hour, according to Centcom.
It is unclear which parts of Iran the US attacked, but according to Iranian state media, air defences were activated in the capital, Tehran, during the night. In addition, explosions were reportedly heard in the port city of Bushehr.
Attacks on drones
"Centcom forces targeted Iranian military operations centers, naval assets, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities, and military logistics infrastructure to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz," Centcom wrote in a statement on X shortly before 3 a.m.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned envoys from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) overnight about Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz.
USA: Not finished
"If we create a precedent in the Middle East where a nation-state can decide to control an international shipping lane, charge a fee and blow up your ships if you don't pay, we have created a very dangerous precedent," he told foreign ministers attending the ASEAN meeting in the Philippines.
US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the US's nightly attacks "are not over."
"If we withdrew now, it would take Iran 20-25 years to rebuild the country. We are not done at all, we are not withdrawing right now," he said.
