According to Fox, Gabbard submitted her resignation on Friday.
"Unfortunately, I must hereby resign, a decision that will take effect on June 30," she writes in a letter to President Donald Trump and continues:
"My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer."
Former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard was appointed Director of National Intelligence in February 2025.
