Maduro - who was captured along with his wife in a US military operation in the capital, Caracas, in January - has previously been accused by US authorities of drug trafficking.
Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have previously denied all charges. They are currently being held in New York, but Flores has requested to be placed under house arrest instead.
