The United States is imposing sanctions on two more judges at the International Criminal Court (ICC), in support of Israel's war crimes suspect leader Benjamin Netanyahu.

The two affected judges, from Georgia and Mongolia, voted on Wednesday against Israel's request to halt the ongoing investigation into war crimes during the Gaza war.

The court describes the sanctions as a "flagrant attack on the independence of an impartial judicial institution."

The US has previously imposed sanctions on several other ICC judges, including the French judge Nicolas Guillou, who is responsible for the case, where an arrest warrant has been issued for Netanyahu.
