US economy grew 1.5% in the second quarter, Commerce Department says

This is in line with a preliminary estimate of 1.5 percent.

Consumption in the United States rose 3.4 percent in July, according to a separate report. This compares with a preliminary estimate of 3.2 percent.

Durable goods orders rose 1.1 percent month-on-month in July. The average forecast was 0.5 percent, according to Bloomberg.
