The USA needs to see concrete proposals from both Ukraine and Russia regarding the terms of a ceasefire – otherwise, the Americans will give up on the mediation attempts.
This is the message from Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, according to his spokesperson Tammy Bruce.
We have reached a point where concrete proposals must come, she says, and clarifies that it is up to President Donald Trump to decide whether the USA leaves the talks or not.
Bruce also comments on Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal for a three-day ceasefire around the so-called Victory Day on May 9, when they commemorate the end of World War II and remember the millions of soldiers who fell.
