After about six weeks of a ceasefire, the US is now reportedly preparing for new attacks against Iran, both Axios and CBS report. However, no decision has been made yet.

Axios reports, citing sources close to the president, that Donald Trump is “seriously considering” renewed attacks.

In addition, Trump himself has announced that he will not attend his son's wedding celebration this weekend due to "circumstances relating to the government."

According to CBS sources, some personnel within the US military have canceled their Memorial Day celebrations on Monday pending a decision on possible attacks. In parallel, forces stationed in the Middle East are under review.

Meanwhile, attempts are underway to reach an agreement between the countries, and the army chief of mediating country Pakistan arrived in Iran on Friday for talks. Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have also reportedly appealed to Donald Trump to give diplomacy with Iran more time, according to Bloomberg.
