US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll is resigning after 18 months, the White House says. He is the latest in a string of top military officials to leave their posts during Trump's term.
No reason was given for Driscoll's departure, but it has been reported that there had been tensions between him and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
John Phelan left his post as US Secretary of the Navy in April, and several generals and admirals have previously been replaced.
