The United States has approved new arms sales to Qatar and Israel worth several billion dollars, AFP reports.
The United States will sell Patriot air defense systems to Qatar worth four billion dollars, equivalent to just under 37 billion kronor, and precision weapons systems to Israel for just under one billion dollars.
The sales are said to support U.S. "foreign policy and national security" goals.
